I got a question one of my games lag a little bit
And im thinking Its due to the gpu not so much cpu
Can i increase the memory split so the gpu uses more memory so itll run a bit better?
Or doesnt it work like that?

There is no benefit it says so...
I thought it would allow the gpu use more memory no?

It will it you give the gpu more RAM yes...however most emulators need more CPU. When you get into N64, Dreamcast, ect. you might need more GPU..but the pi itself is really too slow for that..not enough ram.

People want things easy...but then complain that life is boring...

the link is quite clear on this.

the emulators in retropie (at least, the ones available for pi3) use a fraction of the default GPU memory, so raising the split does nothing but take more ram away from the system, where it IS needed (for compilations, etc).
