      And for the screen th at is displayed too large on the tv, it does not seem to be the tv overscan because the tv does not seem to have that setting.

      i tryed to change the setting in the /boot/config.txt file but that does not do anything at all. I change the overscan setting but nothing happen even after having rebooted.

      What can i do now for these issues please ?

        follow https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/wiki/Overscan

        hopefully you can fix it via your tv, as per the link, but if you want to do it via the config you need to use overscan_scale = 1 otherwise none of those settings will have any effect.

        also please format all code blocks as per https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first

          @dankcushions

          THX, my overscan setting was already uncomon but it was at =0 so i only changed it to =1 and now i can only wait to get home later and see if that solved or not the problem.

          I will let you know.

          thx.

            Good morning, so i have tryed this morning and the screen is still the same.

            • This is the same HDMI cable but into a diferent TV
            • The tv does not seem to have any overscan setting, only the regulars screen settings like: 4:9, 16:9, zoom, standard
            • in every tv setting, i loose about 2 inch ( proportionally ) up and left and top and bottom

            here is my config.txt file:

            I had also forgot to say in the first message that my emulationstation does not start anymore kinda like with kodi. It keep saying :

            • failed to add service, already in use

            The only that that is working as of now is to start it , it does get into command prompt ( if i can say that ) and if i write startx that also work but again, i loose about 2 inch on every sides.

              @darthlink said in update problem and kodi wont start anymore:

              dtoverlay=vc4-kms-v3d

              This enables the open-source 3d OpenGL video driver, it won't work in RetroPie, disable it.

              #gpu_mem=256
              #gpu_mem_256=128
              #gpu_mem_512=256
              #gpu_mem_1024=256
              #overscan_scale=1

              This options are important also, enable (uncomment.) them.
              This should fix your problems.
