      I just finished setting up a Pi 3 with RetroPie and added some games. The old Atari games look amazing but the NES and Sega games (e.g. NHL 94) are REALLY pixelated. I'm tried adjusting my screen resolution settings and turning off overscan, but nothing makes a difference. Is there something that I need to adjust in the emulator configs?

        @icrowley you need to open up the config for the system you want to fix, like for genesis/megadrive you would open up /opt/retropie/configs/megadrive/retroarch.cfg and add

        video_smooth = true

        Or if you use a shader like crt-pi then you dont need video smooth on.

          Yes... That's how 240p resolution works ;)

            Yes, shaders are the best. Being able to see scanlines on my hdtv is what made me got rid of my crt tv's and modded Wii consoles. It really looks just as good (to me).
