Copy List of All Games?
-
I'd like to copy the list of All Games from my menu in the format they're listed in (Game Title [System]).
I'd just like to paste the game list into a spreadsheet for an organizational task. There's 10,000 + games.
Some old suggestions on the forum have mentioned taking the gameslist.xml files and doing some scripts to parse out the game titles, but my gameslist files are a total nightmare. I have multiple entries for games (long story) and the list I'd generate would not be aligned with what is actually playable on the system.
Since the addition of the All Games menu, I figure there might be some way for me to "print out" this list. Wondering if anyone has any ideas.
Thanks

@pomme I didn't know how to do this from the system, but if you have an Android smartphone you can try this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.renard.ocr&hl=pt&referrer=utm_source%3Dgoogle%26utm_medium%3Dorganic%26utm_term%3Dcapture+text+android+camera&pcampaignid=APPU_1_E0gGWs7MKImdwgTip7SwCg

Ha, dang. I have an iPhone and I bet there's probably an app like that, but I can't imagine what scrolling through all 10k games would be like. Honestly though this is the most efficient way I've seen so far. Thanks! :)
Was hoping there would be some way to just generate a txt from the command line.

@pomme ocr is a horrible and inefficient idea for this. You could probably make use of the debugging tools in ES and throw in a bit of code to spit out the gamelist. Never a question of if it's possible or not, rather a question of how much someone cares to figure it out.

@herb_fargus I was just thinking out of the box, cause he said that his gamelist.xml is a nightmare. If he gets the log way, he will need to play all the games to fill the txt. This could take a lot of time with his 10k gamelist.
