      Hi all, usual caveat here that I've scoured the forums for a few days but still can't quite solve my issue.

      I've got a pi3 running beautifully with the following controllers set up:

      USB0: iPac for MAME (it's in a full upright cab) - works in MAME & others
      USB1: SNES USB Controller - works in SNES emulation & others
      BlueTooth: Genuine PlayStation3 Controller - can't get working with anything

      Now, the PS3 controller is connected (i.e. i get the rumble, and the controller 1 light is lit, and it persists over a reboot).

      I'd like to use the PS3 controller in my PSX emulation, and when I start a game, the yellow writing in the bottom-left corner shows firstly the USB1 SNES controller, and also shows it's detected the PS3 controller but has some words (sorry, not in front of the machine right now) to the extent that it's not configured (0,0).

      Any ideas how I can get PSX emulation to use that controller? I have successfully set up the PS3 controller within ES, and then all works well, but I want the iPac arcade controls for this predominantly.

      Any suggestions greatly appreciated. Thank you.

        I've had some success...

        So, for anyone else having similar issues, i added the line:

        input_player1_joypad_index = 1

        to the psx-specific retroarch.cfg. Knowing it was "1" was a bit of luck. My next challenge is to correctly map X and O :-)

        Hope this helps someone.
