I'm certain that it's posted elsewhere in this forum already and I'm just not using the right search keywords to find it. Regardless, here's what I'm shooting for.

I'm a bit of a novice with Linux and I have a Raspberry Pi 3 that I have a ton of project ideas for. I'm trying to set it up as a retro gaming console in addition to these others duties, and I would rather keep my PIXEL desktop, sticking with Raspbian full. I've also already done a good handful of stuff on this thing, and would very much like to not start all of that from scratch. Is there a way to install the Emulation Station atop my existing framework without moving the world to make it work?

@soilborn You can start through the docs - https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Manual-Installation/ - if you already have a Raspbian install you don't necessarily need to reinstall everything.

          Thanks for your help, mitu.

In the end it proved to be too much of a hassle. I ended up grabbing another SD card, doing a full image install, and adding PIXEL to it. I'll peruse the changes I made to my old OS and do them to the new one.
