      Hi!

I know there is no official support for berryboot but I'm hoping someone can lead me in the right direction.

I'm trying to install RetroPie 4.3 on the latest version of BerryBoot on a Raspberry Pi 3B.
I use the .img256 image from the official github site since I don't know how to convert an image into squash.

I place that image on a USB drive, put it in the Rpi3 and I use the 'Add OS' function via USB in Berryboot. It says 'copying file' for a few minutes and then it appears in the menu as an OS. I reboot the Rpi and I confirm booting the RetroPie. It starts showing some command lines very quickly and then reboots again. This goes on in a loop.m

I tried with RetroPie 4.2 but same problem...

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong here...

      Thx in advance!

So I watched numerous tutorials to make sure I'm not making any mistake...
I'm now sure I do it correcty so something else is going wrong.
Could it be the Pi itself? I tried with two different SD cards, same result. So I don't think it is the SD either...

Who has an idea? Or what are your experiences with it?

          Thx!

@wicketje I guess not many people are using RetroPie over BerryBoot so that might be the reason you're not getting so many answers.
Have you tried the recent (beta) images based on Raspbian Stretch - https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/16307/retropie-4-3-11-stretch-images-for-testing ?
If they still don't work, then you could try a simple Raspbian Jessie LIte install with BerryBoot and the do a manual installation of RetroPie on top.

You could also use pinn which is a fork of noobs that has an installer for retropie if you're going for the whole dual boot thing. But honestly I don't know why anyone wants to use berryboot.

Thx for the replies and suggestions!

Found the problem: the Pi did not get enough power. I switched to another power source and it works :)

                So this can be locked!
