@buzz is there any other way to have RetroPie on a multi boot? I would like to have different images of Retropie with different setups, without swapping different ssd every time.
@somguy The problem is that you're using BerryBoot and the partition layout is different from the layout expected by the resize2fs_once service (the normal Raspbian sd-image layout with 2 partitions).
You either disable this service or ignore the error.
Thanks for the great suggestion, I wasn't aware it was on top of Raspbian Lite. Now that I know that, it doesn't make sense for me to have two versions of Raspbian!

At the end of the day, making an sd backup externally really is the best, most all-encompassing method. The same advice is given in the official RetoPie documentation as well.
