Hotkey on second not working (might be by design)

Hey there,
Just a quick question.
I have two 8bitdo bluetooth SF30 gamepads connected and both are working like a charm.I found that only on "gamepad 1" the hotkey (select+start) works to exit the emulators.
On gamepad 2 select works, like it should. But no as a hot key to exit, like on gamepad 1.Is this by design? Did I misconfigure??
Should the hotkey work on the second gamepad two?Thanks!
Pi Model or other hardware: pi 3B
Power Supply used: 3A 5V
RetroPie Version Used (eg 3.6, 3.8.1, 4.1 - do not write latest): 4.3
Built From: prebuild from the site.
USB Devices connected: Apple Magic Mouse, Bluetooth keyboard, 2x 8BITdo SF30 PRO bluetooth gamepad.
Controller used: 8BITdo SF30 PRO bluetooth gamepad. (2x)
Error messages received: none
Log found in /dev/shm/runcommand.log (if relevant):
