      Pi 3B+
      Official 4.4 Updated
      PS3 Controllers

      Mupen64Plus exits to the menus when I try to load a state. I looked in the cfg and it shows :

      Joy Mapping Stop = "J0B0/B3"
      Joy Mapping Load State = "J0B0/B10"
      Joy Mapping Save State = "J0B0/B11"

      jstest js0 responds properly to these buttons .

      Any idea whay it would exit only when I load a state? I can hit any other combo and it works fine. I got it to load a state once or twice by repeatedly starting the n64 roms and trying multiple times but that is like 1/20 times.

      I update once or twice a week and could not find anything recent in the forums to go on.

        @thedatacereal go to /opt/retropie/configs/all/autoconf.cfg

        And make sure that

        mupen64plus_audio = "0"

          @quicksilver It was set to "1"

          What does that flag do? I know it deals with auto config/paths of sudio but what exactly is that doing and how does it affect loading states? It fixed my issue so now I am curious

          And thank you.

            @thedatacereal in short it will default to using SDL for audio. OMX is the plugin that you were using previously and for what ever reason it is incompatible with save states. Previously SDL had issues with the audio crackling but it was fixed in a recent update so it's fine to use SDL now.
