      Hi
I wanted to start developing/modifying themes that fits well with my vertical monitor setup, but it is a bit cumbersome (plus because it isn't finished yet, it is still in the garage and its getting rather hot), so I decided to install Retropie on an old laptop PC. Step one was to remove windows and install Raspbian Stretch, which seemed to go perfectly. Step 2 was to follow the instructions here for installing Retropie over Debian on a PC. Everything went OK as far as I can see (I haven't had time to load any roms yet), except that it failed to compile either of the Mupen 64 variants (Mupen64 and Mupen64 Plus) or MAME 2010. Has anyone else seen this issue?

Find the compilation log (/home/pi/RetroPie-Setup/logs) and see what the error was, although I'd recommend using Ubuntu/Debian instead of Raspbian, they're relatively new in the PC space.

Thanks. I will check tonight. I think , I will just start from the beginning with Ubuntu anyway if that is more stable
