@eldrethor Yeah I figured you could do that as well..but again most of the time I get the "please insert a Playstation game disc" instead shrugs

      BTW..same topic but different question....

From what i understand the PSP can only read up to a two gigabyte file?

but PSX RE-Armed (core) would not have that limitation I am assuming?

(Myst in a combined PBP is HUGE of course)

People want things easy...but then complain that life is boring...

I am still struggling with this.

Separate ISOs isn't an Ideal solution as you need the same Save file between them. I.e. with GT2 you Unlock stuff on one disc to benefit the other. On RE2 you need the same save to complete the scenario on the other disc.

Renaming the save file is a solution all be it a shit one as you have to SSH in everytime I want something cleaner.

I read about Creating a symbolic link as the second save so it just points to the first.

I tried this but got an error. Any ideas?

          This is the Error

          pi@retropie:~/RetroPie/roms/psx $ sudo ln -s "ResidentEvil2Leon.srm" "Resident
          Evil2Claire.srm"
ln: failed to create symbolic link ‘Resident Evil2Claire.srm’: Operation not permitted

@chris-red Either you don't have permissions to write on that folder (unlikely) or the FS doesn't support it. Are your ROMs on an USB drive ? If a symlink won't work, just copy the file.

Yes the roms are on A USB, Copying the file is a pain as I will have to do it everytime there is a disc swap.

@chris-red So why don't you create a .m3ufile ( https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Playstation-1/#m3u-playlist-for-multi-disc-games) for the game and then the save will have the same name every time ?

Because I can't swap discs, I already had them as an eboot. Neither game has a Disc swap screen, swapping discs mid game gives me an error.

It is al little late but her is the solution (it is working for me ^^)

Starting game from CD2, CD3, etc.

-Start your game, open Retroarch menu and go to Quick Menu > Disk Control.

-Click once on Disk Cycle Tray Status, select the correct disc in Disk Index and click once again on Disk Cycle Tray Status.

-Go back to Quick Menu, click Resume, re-open Retroarch menu and click Restart.

-If you don't click Resume before Restart the CD will not load for some reason:

-OR, you can turn OFF the Pause when menu is actived OFF in Settings > User Interface, this way you don't need to press Resume before pressing Restart!

@Schwette I tried your suggestion with Oddworld Abe's exoddus but no luck...loading the second disc and restarting still brings me to the purple 'no disc menu'. I'm on retropie 4.3.5 and retroarch 1.6.7. The game is in bin format and I use an m3u playlist.

                        -Start game
-swap disk and go in game for a few seconds
                        -then restart

Did you try exactly like this ?
edit: I'm on RetroPie is v4.4

@Schwette Yes I tried exactly that.. but doesn't work for me. No big deal though... Multidisc games that consist out of independent discs (like Resident evil 2 or Command and conquer) I just don't make an m3u file, but boot the .cue files seperately. All the other multidisc games change discs fine when the game asks for it (no reboot needed then).
