rpi 1b oc to 1.2 ghz?
-
has anyone tried oc the rpi 1b to 1.2 ghz or 1.1 ghz? im asking because i need a little extra power to make cps 2 games work with full speed and its almost there using turbo oc (its like 55 - 60 fps with turbo oc).

You'd be better off upgrading to a Raspberry Pi 3, which has that as a base clock.

rpi2 and 3 are pretty expensive on my country, i grabbed rpi1 cuz it was cheap (20.000 bolivares fuertes which means 20 usd aproximatly) rpi 2 and 3 are on 50.000 bsf and 70.000 bsf (50 - 70 usd aproximatly) so rpi3 is a no go, atleast not in a long time, besides i only wanted that little 5 fps which could be achived with 1.2 ghz? i have head sink on my rpi 1b if that helps.

You've already compromised based on the availability of hardware and your disposable income. You'll have to continue to compromise somehow:
- spend money for more powerful hardware that will accomplish your goal stably
- spend time and risk shortening the lifespan of your current hardware to try manual overclocking
- (spend... sanity?) settle for 55 fps on current hardware with supported settings
Naturally, the second option is best if you don't want to settle and you don't want to spend. The community has mostly moved on to pushing the Pi3 to its limits, so if you haven't found existing resources to answer your question, you may have to pioneer your own solution. Just know that you risk damaging something. Turbo is already pushing the clock from 700MHz to 1GHz. Stock 700MHz to super turbo 1.2GHz is pretty ambitious!

what emulators are you using? eg pifba should be the best bet for cps2 games on a pi1 as it's heavily optimised. lr-fba-next and lr-fba are slower (not a problem on pi2/3)

@dankcushions im using lr fba emulator that only emulates cps2 games (runs a little bit better cps2 games compared to the default lr fba, here it is https://github.com/libretro/fba_cores_cps2) with dispmanx video driver which gives some boost on fps. i know about the pifba but the problem is that my controllers doesnt have sticks which pifba only use stick for directions and not dpad, i know about recalbox pifba which supports dpad, but theres a problem with 2nd player that i detailed on issues on recalbox pifba github page (link https://github.com/recalbox/pifba/issues/2 read last comments), but i dont have any answer on how to fix it unfortunatly
