Hello. Thanks for having me! I had a quick question regarding the easyget encoders. I bought this set of controls for a cabinet I'm building. I've read that the Easyget encoders have to all be wired identical for the player controls to all work properly.

I already have the extra one so is there a way I'd be able to use a fifth Easyget encoder to run a separate set of buttons for the top of my panel? For example I need extra buttons for Save, Load, Exit, etc.

I've put a lot of money into this already and I don't wanna have to spend another 50 on an iPac or something unless I really, really have to. Is there another brand of controller that will be cheap for the extra buttons?

      Thanks for the help!

        each zero day encoder has (start, select) (a, b, x, y) (r,r1,r2,l,l1,l2)
        2 + 4 + 6 = 12 buttons per zero day controller

divide how many buttons you need( - directions) by 12 thats how many controllers you need

I feel dumb. I thought there were 10 buttons per encoder so I'll have plenty of input freedom if there are 12.

If I had to use a 5th encoder I wasn't sure retropie would detect it properly.

@grant2258 Aliexpress has cheap prices, if you have patience waiting for them to arrive..lol..I have bought some stuff from there for bartop I am in the process of building, but have heard mixed reviews regarding their electronics. My purchases weren't electronic related (speakers..power cord for my amp..and some purchases for my woman). Just wanted to comment about the long waits..haha.
