Upgrading from 3B to 3B +
-
Hi all,
First up
Raspberry Pi 3B
SanDisk 64GB SD Card
Standard 2.5 Amp Official Raspberry Pi PSU
4 x Logitech F710 Wireless Controllers
1 x Logitech Wireless Keyboard and Mouse
Running Retropie 4.4Looking at upgrading to the 3B+. Can I just drop my SD card from the 3B in and all will be well or will I have to tweak some settings? Currently have the3b overclocked. Will I need to reconfigure controllers etc if I plug them into the same ports as they were in on the 3B?
Thanks in advance.

Depends, did you install from the 4.4 image released last year, or you just upgraded a 4.3 image ? If you used the 4.4 image and as long as you have all the OS upgrades installed, it should work with the 3B+ model using the same SD card. You might want to disable the overclock settings and then try to see if they still apply.

I can confirm that as long as you have no OC and are on RetroPie 4.4, you can just move the SD card and not worry about it. I did the same upgrade without a single issue.

@Silent installed from the fresh 4.4 image. What are OC’s?
