I have just set up a new RP3b+ arcade system. During the initial keyboard configuration I used the joystick for the 4 directions, the 6 buttons for (x,y,a,b,l-shoulder,r-shoulder), and I have 2 admin buttons I use for select and start. For the hotkey I re-used the start button (as I saw in this video [CENSORED]

I copied over some mame, atari 2600, and an snes rom. I can start and run the mame games fine. However, I cannot start the Atari games (lr-stella). It almost seems like the atari emulator is using the retroarch configuration to "control the atari 2600 console". But, I cannot get it to start a game. I assumed this was because the hotkey was the same as the start key, so I changed the hotkey in the global config from"c" (admin key) to "5" (player 1 coin).

I have similar issues with the snes game. I cannot figure out how to get the game to start. I will assume that I have to manually configure each of the emulators that I want to use but I am not sure.

Thanks for any insight and/or help.

hi, i'm afraid we don't support custom images (or support users running them) - please see our rules - so i've had to remove the video.

@dankcushions sorry, I thought the rules said to include a link to a tutorial if I followed one, the one I followed for setting up the initial keyboard layout was just from that video. The real issue is that I believe there is some configuration issue that I cannot figure out. I have read the docs and tried to find the answer. I suspect that what is happening is that the initial "keyboard configuration" is what is being used to navigate the menĂșes for all of the consoles (mame, atari, snes) and it is not until I am actually I the game that the system specific configuration takes over.

If this is the case, then I believe that my setting the "hot key" (I am not really sure what this key is supposed to do) to the same utton as the "start" key, in the initial keyboard configuration, is what was preventing me from getting into the different arcade systems (except mame). However, I went into the global config file and changed and changed the "hotkey" value to a different button, but selecting the "start" button still does not get me into the atari emulator.
