Beetle PCE Fast - Cho Aniki Does Not Work Right
-
@Spoofer Core options are saved automatically in the
/opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch-core-options.cfg
file, you can change them from the RGUI easily (Select + X
while in-game). -
@mitu Unfortunately there is no setting for that when doing it through the RGUI. I also did modify the file you mentioned adding the line for disabling the TurboTap in the link I posted and that did not work either.
-
@Spoofer The settings in the page you referenced are not applicable (as-is) to the Libretro core options (https://docs.libretro.com/library/beetle_pce_fast/#core-options). Do you have a reference to the forum post ? What error do you get when running the game ?
-
@mitu I do but I can not post the link here since it is flagged as spam for some reason. It's a post from the Mednafen forums on forum (dot) fobby (dot) net if that involves anything here.
Basically, in the game you collect these little guys that hover with your character to shoot alongside the player character normally. For some reason that does not happen when playing the game in the Beetle core and that is my only reference as to why.
I have tried it on Ootake on Windows and that behavior does not happen.
-
@Spoofer From the core options available in the link I posted, your original option looks like the
Player X Turbo Enable
set of options. You might want to check if those are set or not in the RGUI. The page says they're off by default. This is the PCE-CD game, right ?
-
@mitu This is a PCE-CD game and the turbo settings do nothing. This is related from what the post said, to emulating the PC-Engine's multitap function, just to clarify since I am using its name TurboTap.
-
@Spoofer Hm, it seems TurboTap is not actually supported - https://github.com/libretro/beetle-pce-fast-libretro/issues/100 - by
beetle-pce-fast
, so you may be encountering another issue. -
@mitu Would posting there be the better option to bringing this issue up?
-
@Spoofer I'm not sure - can you find a walkthrough on youtube and post the minute/time where you find the error ? Here's a walkthrough -
-
@mitu Watch at around 1:43 and see what the floating muscle guy does when you shoot.
Here is a video I just recorded on my phone of what it does in RetroPie:
