      Hi guys I'm having an issue getting my newly installed PS3 Bluetooth controllers recognized as game pad 1. No matter what I do they always show up his game pad 2 or 3 or 4 which makes me unable to use the hot keys to exit a Game. Is there anything I can refresh or reset to fix this?thanks

        Do you have more than 1 controller or a keyboard attached ?
        Did you do any other configurations on your system ?

          Unrelated some of the recent kernel bluetooth updates are incompatible for the time being with PS3 controllers.
          Psyke has made a script to rollback the kernel to effective April 1st coincidentally.

          Uninstalling xboxdrv might help if you have it installed. I seem to remember using xboxdrv to try and setup a custom control and it would create a duplicate virtual controller.

          Also there is this setting for all user control menu, in retroarch settings >> input >;

          Perhaps the Input >> user 1 binds >> user 1 device index >> assignment in retroarch has been thrown off and setting it properly would solve the problem..

            @mitu even if I don't have anything connected it still sees one gamepad, the bluetooth will come up as 2

                In order, I would first check if the xboxdrv is installed and enabled, then try either uninstalling or disabling it.

                Second I would configure the retroarch settings.

                Last the update pertains to updating to the most recent kernel modules from May 17, 2019 and on. The activity of this update causes the DS3/4 to be unable to sync.
