I do have 4 usb joysticks modules attached. Maybe I have a hot key setup by mistake.

@dankcushions Did that, no effect. I'll google to see how else I can get a verbose log, but last time I didn't see anything.

Working now with after repairing via Start+B. Not sure what mode this put it in but all seems fine on all cores now.

Thanks @mitu .. Found at least one of those as well -- those are dating back quite some time, hence why I wanted to ask if was a possibility. Ill figure some workaround - -

@Run-the-Jewels If you have the Pimoroni controller (X Hat) then you should do what I did, see above. Some additional information is on the Pimoroni forums, see https://forums.pimoroni.com/t/x-hat-retropie-coin-button-exits-game/9633.

If you have another controller, then this might not be the same problem. If this is the case, then I suggest you start a new thread, with detailed descriptions of your hardware, software versions, log file entries etc.

You can customize your key/button bindings as you like - globally, per-system or per-game. Look into the RetroArch controller configuration docs.

I'm glad it's working and the resolution is expected behavior, but keep in mind that this only fixes the singular hotkey issue. While that's a positive for now, as long as you have 'save on exit' enabled and you continue to change your settings further, each system will have different configuration settings and problems like the one you just solved will begin to surface in other areas.

@retrofreak89 The retropie image is from March. Update it to latest and then the hotkey option will be there. Though, you can still set up retropie without the hotkey option and it'll bind the default of select+start.

This sounds like Something you should post in the Help and Support section. People there might be able to help you. I have no idea as to what could be causing this, sorry I couldn't be of more help.

@arakash hotkeys/combos only work for player 1.
