I use two USB arcade encoders (dinput) and I would like to seamlessly use wireless gamepads.

I was wondering if 8bitdo game controllers can register as bluetooth keyboards in order to use them concurrently with the arcade sticks as P1 and P2 (instead of being P3 & P4).

I don't own any 8bitdo, looking forward to buy the SEGA-type if the above is an option.

@matchaman I don't think they can register as keyboards, but if you want them to be P1/P2 - just switch the gamepad indexes, with something like @meleu's Joystick selection tool.

Is there an alternative way to assign four controllers to only two players (without any menu change)?

What if I set 8bitdo as xinput while the arcade sticks are dinput?

@matchaman Ah, I misunderstood the concurrently part. I don't think it's possible from within the emulator, but maybe something external to combine the 2 inputs into 1 virtual gamepad (like xboxdrv ).
