Which Bios files do I need for the pal fbi and cue files to work? Ive tried some of the recomennded ones that were listed online but I believe those are meant for Ntsc files. Sorry if this has been asked already million times. Ive tried to search youtube and google but im just missing something.. Probably it's very simple. I have most of the other systems figured out already.

@mitu I tried those bios combinations but the games "boot up" for 2 seconds and black screen pops up. Then it goes back to game selection screen =(

@SickoDucko Please provide more info about your system - https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first - and the game you're trying to run.
A detailed log of the emulator - containing maybe the error - can be found in /dev/shm/runcommand.log, make sure you start the emulator with the 'Verbose Logging' option from the Runcommand launch menu. Get the log file - after you run the problematic game - and post it on pastebin.com.

EDIT: did you run the a checksum utility for your BIOS files ? Do they match the checksum provided in the documetation ?

Some PAL european PS1 games are copy protected. You need to patch them. If you don´t fix them you always wiil have a black screen.

@SickoDucko A pal bios is not required to run pal games. You can use any bios. So scratch that off your troubleshooting.

@mitu I checked out those points you recommended and they all seem fine. Im going to seem like total idiot now.. Everything else was fine but I just had to update the retropie setup. Then I updated the emulator again. I updated everything not too long time ago so I had no idea it could be that. I even uninstalled and re-installed the psx emulator and updated it before doing this. Now im wiser and can potentially help some other people in the future.

I really appreciate your help, it pushed me to right direction.
