My Retropie is working perfectly with the SNES, I have a SNES type controller, but I can play only the SNES game, if I upload other games I see them in the RetroPie menu, but they do not start, is it the controller fault, or I am missing something?

The controller shouldn't affect the emulators' operability. You could use the Runcommand Menu and launch the game with verbose logging. You'll then find the log in the file /dev/shm/runcommand.log.

@staller It has nothing to do with the controller type you are using.
