      Hi,
      just installed the RetroPi and copied some games to the gamefolder, this seems to work.
      Also I can use my (simple) game-controller* (USB connected) to navigate inside the RetroPi menus, but whee starting a game, the joystick nor the (USB) Keyboard is working. In the start screnn from the games I can not change the anything, nor jump (i.e.) from one to two player, nor change the control option (from keyboard to kempston)

      I'm using the lr-fuse emulator,
      and I read that I have to edit the file /opt/retropie/configs/all/zxspectrum/retroarch.cfg
      But I have no folder zxspectrum there !?

      Whats wrong, where is my mistake while try to use the gamepad?
      Only pressing the "select" and "Start" key together is working, take me back from the game-startscreen to the RetroPie -menu.

      Regards from frankfurt,
      Martin

        Try - accessing the file shares from your PC - to open \\retropie\configs\zxspectrum\retroarch.cfg file and adding

        input_libretro_device_p1 = "513"

        You can also change the controller type from the RetroArch menu by pressing F1 on your keyboard and navigating to Settings->Controls. I guess - since you don't have an Y button - you're unable to open the RetroArch menu using Hotkey + Y.

          @mitu and others ;-)

          OK, now I have a BT PS3-Controller connected, and I think my misunderstanding was, that I expect that it will be possible to "jump" in the Game-menu (were I choose one or two players, or have to press "4" for kempston joystick) with the Game-Controller.
          but I have to use "Select" to get the virtual Keyboard and have to select there the wanted keys to press.

          Is this the correct way?
          And how is it possible to save a running game? ;-)

            If you don't have a keyboard ? Probably yes.

            Try using the Hotkey + RT to save the sate, Hotkey + LT to load it - https://retropie.org.uk/docs/RetroArch-Configuration/#hotkeys.

              Thanks, save/load is working.

              But strange, usb calbe keyboard is connected, also arrow-keys are working inside the retroPie, but in the Game-Menu no key is working, also no (i.e.) "5" to start the game.
              I must use the virtual keyboard (select key). But OK ....
