Does Z Fast Use Bilinear Interpolation?
-
Some might remember I had a thread recently where I couldn't find any killer NTSC filters like blarggs. I finally gave the Z Fast CRT Standard shader a try. I avoided it at first, as I'm usually not a fan of scanlines. But I have to say, I find this one gives me the most accurate retro feel of any I've found yet. I would like to use it, but I had a few quick questions.
First, does it use some type of Bilinear Interpolation by default to help blur/smooth the pixels, besides just adding scanlines? I feel like it does, as I don't have it turned on and everything seems a lot less blocky. Or is that just the scanlines tricking me? I'm using the build that comes with the latest image you can flash of RetroPie, and I use the default settings.

I think they do some bilinear filtering. The original forum post introducing these shaders has some details - https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/13356/.
