Dedicated "random game" button
-
Currently I am working on my first arcade cabinet. I want to use the cabinet for games against my friends. Therefore I thought it would be nice to have a dedicated "random game" button. So when you finish a game you press a button and instantly go to another game. I mainly use lr-mame2003. Of course the option to go to other emulators would be nice too. Can anyone help me with the coding/wiring for this? I use a raspberry pi 3b+ with zero delay encoders. I am not very experienced in this. Thank you in advance!

EmulationStation has the
X
button mapped for choosing a random system or game. If you're in the system list,X
will position you to a random system, if you're in a game list (inside a system), it will position you to a random game - you just have to pressA
to start the game.
Modifying the existing behavior - to start the game automatically - means you're going to have to program it into EmulationStation - something that's non-trivial for someone that's not familiar with programming or EmulationStation's source.
