I recently did an Arcade 1Up Arcade mod and am running RetroPie on it. I am unable to receive any sound at all. I have added a 12 volt amplifier through hdmi and am receiving the following error message:

ALSA lib control .c:1373:(snd_ctl_open_noupdate) Invalid CTL hdmi

lv10: VolumeControl::init() - Failed to attach to default card!

I am also experiencing an issue with the volume defaulting to 0 when hdmi is selected. When I select "default", I still have no sound but it does allow me to set the volume and it will keep that setting. I've looked everywhere online and nothing I've tried has worked. I have tried different sound settings and configuration settings. I've gone into /boot/config.txt and added lines/removed lines as recommended. Does anyone have any ideas of what else to try?

Please add more info about your system, as detailed in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first.

What's the content of your config.txt file ? Post it here in the topic, surround by code tags (add ``` before and after the text, on separate lines).
