Hold Start 2 Second

I don't want to use a hotkey. But to get back into the menu, I need something else.
I found "Menu toggle Gamepad Combo" in the options. But I can't leave the game with it. I want to use "Hold Start 2 Second".

I get lost with all the hotkey/combo things. I think what you found was how to enter RETROARCH menu in game .. which, if you can get into, you can scroll down ot QUIT RETROARCH and it takes you back to the menu

There is a utility that will listen for Button Presses

Currently it doesnt wait for delay, but there is a possibility it can be extended for that

@Dj-EKI If you'd like that combo to open the menu, then open RetroArch from the RetroPie system in EmulationStation, set the option and then save your configuration.
To leave a game, you'll have to use either a Hotkey + Start - which you don't want - or disable the Hotkey and choose another button for the exit hotkey. Pressing that button will automatically exit the game.
