I have recently downloaded RetroPie on my raspberry pi 3b+ and it works fine. Before buying new controllers, I thought I could re-purpose my old Wii controllers for the job. I installed MoltenGamepad and it worked a charm, up until I actually launched a game. The controller no longer works, and the keyboard is the only way I can play the game. I would really appreciate it if someone could help me out, as this is very frustrating.

      Thanks in advance!

There is such thing as a USB Wiimote sensor. Or you can configure the manual way the Retropie Docs instruct, but it is much easier just to spend the twenty dollars.

        HOME CONSOLE
        Pi 4
        SanDisk 64 GB
        Master branch install
        3.5 amp CanaKit PSU
Logitech F310, Dell keyboard, Dell mouse, JetFlash Transcend 16 GB USB stick
        HANDHELD
        Pi 0 W
        SanDisk 32 GB
Random image I found. Had a driver I needed.

Do wiimotes work in retropie? That would be interesting - do they work for the shooters in mame?

Yes, they do. However you must buy a MayFlash Dolphin Bar. After that, you can use the Wiimote as a lightgun.
