      yeah the f5 button is very importyant , your right

      i just dont see how f5 is mapped to the

      R Button

      i didnt map

      R button

      or

      L button

      do you know why they are mapped .. and the other button are not mapped

      TL2 = SELECT

      TR2 = START

      on my controller under test menu (evtest /dev/input/event0)

          @escc1986

          --ui-buttonmap a=BTN_LEFT,b=BTN_RIGHT,start=KEY_F5,back=KEY_ESC \ this came from my setup, since you need these for play anyways

          the rest is on you

          --evdev-keymap BTN_EAST=a,BTN_SOUTH=b,BTN_[•]=x,BTN_[•]=y,BTN_[•]=lb,BTN_[•]=rb,BTN_TL2=back,BTN_TR2=start

          BTN_[•] this just means its blank till you add what button goes to it

          this is what you have

          so far the buttons you have mapped are btn east and south, and your TL buttons

          thx for the vid.

          this is a good thing cuz it is working, we just need to get the keys to do what we want

          the big part is getting the dpad to work.
          bad part is my xdrive is now not working. so i cant test it on mine just yet

              yeah the swtich controller have some messed up names for the buttons.
              once you find out what name goes with what button then you can map it

              use a note pad and write it down as you press them thats what i did

                                ok this might be a pain for you, and im sorry.
                                but wipe everything out of the runcommmand.

                                save it in a txt file of course.

                                i want to see if there is something overriding what we are trying to do, cuz what you posted should of changed when you changed the mapping

                                also you have xboxdrv installed

                                reboot after you wiped the file
