ls-mame2010 annoyingly exits to RetroArch menu on Esc key press
-
Hi,
I'm probably missing something obvious, hopefully someone can help please - basically I use a selection of versions of MAME depending on the ROM.
A few ROMS I can't get anything other than lr-mame2010 to run - which is fine, except from the Escape key in all other versions of MAME exists the game and goes back to the menu, whereas on lr-mame2010 for some reason it exists the game and opens up a green retroarch config screen - I can then exit that manually, but it's slightly annoying that this MAME version behaves differently - I was hoping the version of MAME being used would be pretty much transparent.
Using the 5 and 1 keys together (coin and P1 start) exist lr-mame2010 back to the menu as expected however (as it does for all the other MAME versions, but I've got used to using Esc!)
Any advice appreciated!
Thanks
GtB

Can you place this in the mame 2010 retroarch.cfg file and see if that fixes it?
Input_exit_emulator = "escape" Input_menu_toggle = f1

@edmaul69 I'm afraid it didn't fix it.
I added the lines to the retroarch.cfg file at:
/opt/retropie/configs/mame-libretro
as as far as I understand it (not far) both Mame2003 and Mame2010 are pointing at that config file?

@GtBFilms https://github.com/retropie/retropie-setup/wiki/MAME#emulators-advancemame-mame4all-pi-lr-imame4all-lr-mame2003-lr-mame2010 (last sentence being key here!)
likely this is just a problem exculsive to the under-developed mame2010 emulator. lr-mame2003 and lr-imame4all are the standard libretro-mame emulators.

@dankcushions Ah okay, no worries, it's actually only a small number of ROMS I'm using mame2010 with anyway, and a friend has promised me some roms converted to the correct version for FBA now, so hopefully I can avoid 2010 until it's less experimental!
Thanks for your help.
