Also is there a way I can fix raspbian with the emulator ports on emulation Station menu
      And also Save States
I recently got these problems after attempting to update Retro pi from 4.5 to 4.6

The sd card that has Retro Pie on it is a premade sd card
Would it be easier to backup current sd card and make new copy of retro Pie on the sd card

You haven't stated where your SD card image came from. It may be the source of your problems.

Since you upgraded your 4.5 to 4.6 and are still on Stretch, you should really consider just rebuilding from scratch with a fresh 4.6 official image. (The new 4.6 distro uses Buster, not Stretch.)

Is there a way to upgrade raspbian stretch to buster with existing sd card
I don't want to backup if I don't have to I barely have enough space to store a 64GB backup of a 64GB Retro Pie sd card

Look at you, still NOT answering the question where you got your original image...

No, you cannot upgrade Stretch to Buster without starting over.

You could, but as I said beore, it's not recommended and - assuming the OS upgrade works - you might get issues later with your system.

There we go. Game over. Third party images are not supported.

@hackedmacbook111 Yeah, figures. We don't support 3rd party images and selling RetroPie preloaded is against the project's license.
Go ask the vendor for support - if you want support here in the forums, please install the image from retropie.org.uk/download.

@hackedmacbook111 all of this info is the documentation. Please go back, read the info for first setup and how to run ROMs etc from USB and see how you get on. Then come and ask for some help. Most of what you ask will have been covered in the docs.
