      Hello everyone:
I have had some screens salvaged from old laptops from some time so I decided to build a "portable" arcade minicabinet (nothing fancy or new, I just fit everything into a small suitcase but encounter a pushback.

I started with a 15,4" screen, a 12v power surge (that gives power to the screen) and a step down for the pi, to 5V. I said that because you usually ask for some details despite I don't think that they will be handy as I finish.

      I have a RPI4, 2Gb edition. and a Sandisk ultra 128Gb card.

      The facts:
I turn on the pi, nothing shows up (mode not supported by screen)
      I plug in a 17", everything works
I change to 1280x720, and plug back the 15,4
I can log in into retropie, I can see roms, I can tell the system to load them but the screen goes back to black.

So far: I have tried to update system manually (reinstalled), update using retropie script,... nothing works and I guess it is not from the system but the config... but I would gladly take a hand tha tpoints me in the right direction.

      Thanks everyone.

Ok, seems it only happens with Damaso images. I have tried a different one, and no troubles so far. :( Sorry for bothering everyone in here
