Retropie 4.0 without pantherlord support
-
Hi Meleu,
I tried to configure it in emulationstation but I can press what ever I want no reaction by the System.
Doesn't matter if I try the button analog or not. There is no effect.
The controllers don't give any signal to the System.I used it on win7 machine - there I was able to see the function.
So what I'm doing wrong?
-
-
@meleu - no unfortunately it doesn't work.
I also tried everything from here -> https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Gamepad
Without effect :(it seems like this:
https://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2207580That's why I'm asking if there are some "generic" modules missing ?!
But if you are saying that this works on your side without problems I don't understand ....
-
@badmage actually I use this very cheap generic adapter:
It's similar to yours, but I think they are detected differently.
I've noticed something really strange on the report of the ubuntuforums link...
They were detected 27 axes!!!! WOW!!! Usually it's only 6.
Sorry, I don't know what is happening or how to solve it... I would suggest you to buy the model I own, but it's so generic that have no brand.
-
@meleu interesting - what I don't understand - why it works with win7.
Could you give me your usb Details of this Adapter?
lsusb -vvThen I can check if I can buy it somewhere else - or ask my Chinese friends :)
-
or/and maybe you can mention a link where I can buy it - or wherefrom do you bought it :)
and I forgot - please also give me the Output from "dmesg | grep Joystick"
THX

I'm from Brazil, and I bought it here. It seems that you are from Germany (you posted an amazon.de link), maybe this?:

Surprise!

They are the same! BUT when I run
jstest
command it gives me this:Driver version is 2.1.0. Joystick (Twin USB Joystick) has 6 axes (X, Y, Z, Rz, Hat0X, Hat0Y) and 12 buttons (Trigger, ThumbBtn, ThumbBtn2, TopBtn, TopBtn2, PinkieBtn, BaseBtn, BaseBtn2, BaseBtn3, BaseBtn4, BaseBtn5, BaseBtn6). Look, only 6 axes and a western name (Twin USB Joystick).
That guy on ubuntuforums had:

27 axes (!!!) and an oriental name...

-
@meleu ha - that's realy a surprise :)
Brazil cool :) - yes I'm from Germany ... so could you please give me your "lsmod" output?
I think there is just one module which isn't loaded :) :(Price difference is huge ;) lol :(
And just forget the posting from ubuntu - it was just a sign with similar effect/result ....
Thanks and best Regards
-

I use this adapter on my raspi1 since 2013. I don't remember the RetroPie version. (Emulationstation was really ugly those days! LOL)
Now I use it in a raspi2 as well.
-
@meleu I'm trying to use it on Raspi3 and retropie Version 3.8.1 - meanwhile 4.0
Why nobody is giving me the lsmod Output?
Just on the console "lsmod" and the Output here :) - please - just want to check if all required modules are loaded ...Thanks and BR
-
@badmage OK. OK... There is no need for ressentment because of that 7x1.
Take my raspi2
lsmod
