Is there any setting that anyone knows of to rotate the screen in Dosbox? I'm trying to setup Pro Pinball Timeshock on a retropie RPi4. I have emulationstation and retroarch rotated perfectly but I cannot find anything anywhere about getting Dosbox itself to rotate.

I'm not planning on rotating the screen on the Pi itself (I tried, failed, then spent a lot of time rotating ES and RA) since I heard it causes slowdowns. Not sure if that's true for the RPi4 but I avoided it based on previous reports for the 3.

I'm trying to do the exact same thing at the moment, although on an RPi3B+. I can't find a way in dosbox to rotate the screen like you can in emulationstation and retroarch.

I was looking into rotating the screen at the OS level. On the 3b+ this causes perf issues so that's not a great way to go. Was trying to do some research to see if this was possible to do on an RPi4 without perf issues. Looks like just doing the rotation there is more complicated than it was on RPi3B+.

@jgeibel @wossquee Not sure if you still care about this, but this is now possible by using the new retroarch core dosbox-pure. Just tested it out and now I'm able to get this pinball game working vertically on my cocktail table setup. Now to add 2 flipper buttons on the side so it plays like a real pinball table.

Also note that I had to change the IRQ setting to use IRQ 5 instead of IRQ 7 (the default) to get the sound effects to work.
