      8bitdo SN30 Pro+ controller

Try to install xpadneo driver package

From RetroPie Setup choose Manage Packages and then Manage Drivers Packages and install xpadneo driver.

After that restart and set-up the gamepad again. I hope this will fix your problem.

@Nick-Mous Under retroarch, is your controller set to Dualshock under Quick Menu > Options? You need it set to Dualshock I'm pretty sure to get rumble.

@windg that could be an option. I'm gonna try tomorrow! Thanks!

The only thing I can think of now is if you have to have the controller in a certain mode. The controller has four modes, maybe try each one with retropie to see if it allows for rumble. Other than that, I actually am not sure.

i think You need to change Input --> Input User "x" Binds --> User "x" Device Type to DualShock as well. (menu options might be different now)

also you need to enable core option 'Enable Vibration' https://retropie.org.uk/docs/RetroArch-Core-Options/#setting-core-options

I had a cheap gamepad in which the vibration in psx games only worked when I changed the mode(from the gamepad) to x-input. If your gamepad has this option try it.

@dankcushions I think that's it, but I'm gonna try first before calling a success. Also @windg and @brandflake11 , my controller is set to X-input.

It worked! It's located in quick menu --> controls --> Port # --> Device type.
You need to set it to RetroPad w/ analog. You don't need anything else!
