@adambegood
Yes for , Amiga CD but I had problems to set controllers (MESS/MAME) , works perfectly with Amiberry. I'll try It another time. -
It works, but at this moment I don't use it.
I tried many way's, last time i used lr-puae.
If you want all Amiga systems you have to do a lot of work renaming the bios files.
And the keyboard layout isn't always perfect for playing games. This is something new :
I got an image from my brother that is called PIMIGA.
If you have any luck finding it, there is a version with all software on it.
Basically your pi becomes an Amiga and it look really wonderfull.
But the resolution is updated quite high and because of that letters are not nice to read.
So for now I left it, I have to test is later again. -
@folly Amiberry with kick-start roms and lha images works wonders. It's pretty much plug and play as far as I'm concerned. Sadly so far I find the Amiga fairly hard to get into.

@Folly Agreed, it seems pretty good with Amiberry and lha images for me so far. I think I am going to work out how to convert .zips to .lha, that seems to be the task. I always wanted to play Akira on Amiga, even though it is rubbish - I just love the Manga so much.
Only way to achieve that seems to be this conversion.

I think Amiberry is the base of that PImiga image.
I have to look though. -

@folly Thank you, it's a job for tomorrow now as I need to look after my daughter.
Quite a few games I'd like to play that I can't find .lha for.
Shadow of the Beast (I have 2 and 3 working, bizarrely)
Monkey Island 2 (to see if the music is any different to PC)
Cannon Fodder
Akira
Super SkidmarksJust playing Turrican, it's a classic.
Edit: I've found a much better source now, I don't know why I never played Amiga before...
-
We like to hear your experience.
-
-
@adambegood I've tried several dozen Amiga games, still haven't found one that actually grabbed me.
Turrican came fairly close but I can't help but feel like I'm playing it wrong, like I'm missing inputs or something. -

Edit: Apidya seems a good shooter also, and the Cannon Fooders are fun.
Further Edit: oh, and I sorted my RetroPie Setup issue by git cloning, @Folly - Thank you!
-
I'm playing Battle Squadron this morning, also seems good.

Amiga on amiberry ?
-
@adambegood Xenon 2 is okay, but it's a bit loose I think. I haven't gotten a lot of mileage out of it.

Yep, all Amiberry. 1200, AGA and CD32 games all work fine with Bios.
-
I'm trying to get FM Towns working today - thought I probably should as you guys have said there are a few good games on there. So there may be some problems coming, I am just locating some games now but I have seen one game start up so it looks like the BIOS is right.
@Folly Have you got any Carbon Theme .svgs for FM Towns please?
Edit: my sound seems a bit choppy and goes silent briefly at intervals. Did you guys have this issue?
lr-mess-system-fmtowns-cdrm is the core I'm using, is that correct?
Further Edit: @Zering Any other games you'd recommend beyond the four in the opening comment on this thread?
Further Further Edit: I've produced quite a decent logo .svg now, so don't worry about that. Although if you had a good controller logo, that would be nice @Folly. I am recycling the numpad one from elsewhere.
-
@adambegood For the sound issue it's just choppiness. Adjust the CPU overclovk to a higher value in the core settings.
I'd recommend Genocide Square, Raiden Densetsu, Tatsujin Ou, Turbo Outrun (although it's a bit choppy).
I haven't played much FM Towns yet I have to confess. -

I'll get Turbo Outrun then!

Can't help you with that.
I think it has to be made.lr-mess-system-fmtowns-cdrm is the core I'm using, is that correct?
If you use cd-rom images, then I think it's ok.
Further Further Edit: I've produced quite a decent logo .svg now, so don't worry about that. Although if you had a good controller logo, that would be nice @Folly. I am recycling the numpad one from elsewhere.
I think you can use inkscape to convert normal pictures to .svg.
You can also search for websites that can convert normal pictures into .svg .
Perhaps an option for you. -
@folly That's cool, I've managed to make a decent .svg, I am happy with it. I do use Inkscape and then trace bitmaps. Thanks for the advice, as ever.
Apart from choppiness, FM Towns has been easy to set up (thanks to the work you've done previously, to be fair).
