I picked this up thinking it would be fairly plug and play. I know that A lot of you are WAY skilled on the technical side of these things, alas, i am not and just wanted something easy to pop into my arcade 1 up for retro gaming. I built my cabinet and wired it up, installed usb ports for wired Xbox controllers but they won't seem to configure correctly at all. I can't get them specifically to register the Y and B buttons. I'm using cheaper controllers so I know that may be an issue but i was wondering if anyone had a layman comprehendible fix for this issue.

@shonee That SD card is probably set up in a way that nobody can possibly predict and therefore support cannot be offered according to the guidelines shown in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first
Only the creator can help you with it.

The best thing to do is install retropie from the official image and follow the first install guide. All your controllers will be autodetected.
