      Hello Friends,
I’m new to Retropie, and before I invest time and money installing it on a Raspberry Pi 4, I started researching which wireless controller to order, that would potentially work with RetroPie AND Apple Arcade.

From a brief internet search it looks like the Steelseries Nimbus+ Could be a great controller, but I’m not sure it works with RetroPie.

Is the Nimbus+ supported for Retropie?
Is there a better controller I should consider?
      Maybe the 8bitdo SN30 Pro+ ?

Hope you savvy Retropie users can help πŸ™

@thegreatmikeo Thank you very much :)
Isn't the PS4 Dualshock4 controller a bit old by now?
I mean, the Dualshock4 still has a Micro USB charging port vs USB-C on the Nimbus+ and SN30 Pro+.
And also, the Dualshock4 has much shorter battery life compared to the Nimbus+ and SN30 Pro+.
I'm basing these points on each controller's advertised specs, but I might be missing important info these companies aren't advertising.

@mjeshurun the Nimbus controllers are MFI, which means they won’t work with the Pi, the SN30 Pro+ is compatible with Mac, but not iOS devices nor Apple TV. The PS4 Controller and the XboxOne controller (forgot about that one, compatible with RetroPie since 4.7) are compatible with all.

@thegreatmikeo good to know about the Xbox one controller thank you πŸ™πŸ™

Based on a few YouTube videos, it appears 8bitdo controllers do work with iOS when adding the controller using the accessibility settings.
However, I’m not sure if that method has downsides over the regular Bluetooth device recognition.

In case it helps someone else, here’s a review of the 8bitdo working with iOS. The video creator explains how to add the controller with the accessibility method.
