I've been playing games like Thunderblade and Galaxy Force II through fb-neo for months now but just now they've completely stopped working? I've done an update however nothing has changed other than I'd installed a couple of additional extra roms. It's so weird and REALLY annoying!

I did notice that I get this error flashing up as a long list before the game attempts to run:

AL lib: (EE) ALCplaybackAlsa_mixerProc: Wait timeout... buffer size too low?

Can anyone advise me on what to do? Thanks

@mrnoholster did you do a full update? updating arcade cores can mean the romset changes.

please supply a verbose log as per https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first

I'm trying a full SD card re-install currently so will see if that works. Thanks

Okay - not sure at all what caused this to happen but all working again now after a complete SD flash install. I can only think perhaps some setting was accidentally changed in RetroArch.

@mrnoholster what happened is you updated fb-neo which requires a new rom set. The old roms are not for newer versions.
FYI. Updating arcade emulators to newer versions is risky as there is no guarantee that the update will work with your roms. Don’t update them if you have a working set of games. Most roms may be fine in if you just go up to the next update, but if you keep updating, there will reach a point where fewer and fewer roms run.
