I have installed this software a few times. So far I think it is working, but it doesn't behave like some of the videos I have seen. I hit the power button on the case and it sits there for a while then powers off. It doesn't flash like other videos I have seen. Any ideas on why that would be?

@billymild since this isn't part of RetroPie, you might have better luck posting a question in the issues area of the GitHub project, https://github.com/RetroFlag/retroflag-picase/issues.

It looks like a few people have already posted questions like yours there. It's possible someone here has had the same problem and knows how to fix it, but The author of the software likey has insight into the issue. Good luck.

I have the same case and I'm using https://github.com/crcerror/retroflag-picase

crcerror's script is a lot better then the one from RetroFlag.

@wholee I have this installed and I noticed it isn't 100% consistent if the machine will actually turn off. It will get to the final command and just sit there at the text screen. How long should it take to shut off?

So I was having a similar issue to this, where RetroPie would hang during the shut down process. It always stuck at the line "Stopping Restore / Save the Current Clock". Did you ever fix your issue? I fixed mine by following the advice at this Github issue. Basically you have to make sure you're using the correct firmware, according to your boot configuration:
              https://github.com/RetroFlag/retroflag-picase/issues/101

Hope this helps, let me know if you need further details.

@retrokada where do you get the firmware?
