GameHAT Raspberry 4 - Using D-Pad for N64/PSX Games?

Hello,
for some N64 Games (Super Mario) or PSX Games, my D-PAD is not working, while its working for NES, SNES games.
I tried changing the n64/retroarch.cfg file but i dont know what exactly i have to input. I'd like to use like a "different" controller setup for each console.
Im using the latest RetroPie GameHAT Version with a Raspberry 4.
