Pcsx-rearmed works but lr-pcsx-rearmed video and sound runs slow
-
I've been trying to get lr-pcsx-rearmed to run on my rpi3b+, but every single game runs slow and gittery.
So I tried pcsx-rearmed from optional packages and it runs smoothly no problems.
I can't figure out with lr-pcsx-rearmed isn't properly working.I pasted my libretro.cfg here:
https://pastebin.com/v2p0PiYDRewind is off and so is read ahead, and running on lower resolutions doesn't change anything.
Any suggestions to fix this? -
@tropersneo is high Rez mode on? is your power supply good? 5v at 2.5A. Is the pi overclocked ? Some times that leads to instability. Lr- pcsxRearmed runs great on a pi3, so these are just some things to check. Add more info about your setup.

@lostless
Enabling and disabling Enhanced resolution (slow) and (speed hack) doesn't make a difference.
Power supply is 5V at 2.5a
Retropie version 4.4.1
When I tried overclock, it says "this pi cannot be overclocked" so no its not.It just puzzles me that pcsx-rearmed runs PERFECTLY besides controller mapping, but every game on
lr-pcsx-rearmed just doesn't run well. -
@tropersneo have you tried updating the emulator?
-
@tropersneo you could also try deleting all settings in config for psx, remove the emulator, and reinstall. That should go I’ve you a clean install of the emulator.
-
@tropersneo please provide ALL the info requested here: https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first
especially including verbose log, but also please provide
/opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch-core-options.cfg
note that your "libretro.cfg" (what is this? there's not file of that name in default retropie) looks to be non-standard. a retropie default one for
/opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch.cfg
will be much smaller, for example.
