Pi Model or other hardware: (4 Model B)
Power Supply used: (Raspberry Pi P4720 AC Adaptor)
RetroPie Version Used (v4.7.1)
USB Devices connected: USB Gamepad and KeyboardHi there,
I have a Microsoft Xbox One S gamepad that is being recognised in the config menu but not in the jstest menu so I am unable to config it.
I have xpad and xboxdrv downloaded but no luck so far. Any tips at all?

Not sure what you're referring as to jstest menu, do you mean you test the controller with
jstest
from the command line ?xboxdrv
is not an Xbox controller driver, it just simulates a virtual Xbox-compatible one - uninstall it. Re-install thexpad
driver and reboot your Pi, then try to configure the gamepad in EmulationStation. -
@mitu Hi thanks for getting back to me! I meant jstest from the command line, sorry about that!
I have done what you have said and the pi is still recognising the controller but not working at all through ES or the jstest -

I'm confused by what you mean by 'recognising' - if it doesn't work in
jstest
then it means the controller is not really working. Can you run - from the command line:cat /proc/bus/input/devices
and post the output ?
-
@mitu Yeah its not working on jstest but it does work with my Xbox and laptop. Anyway, I have attached the output!

Looks like a similar controller (and situation) as here. I think it's not supported by the
xpad
driver - you may try to install a patched driver from the link provided in the post I linked and see if the controller starts working. -
@mitu That worked! Thanks a million
