what am I missing? Redream
-
I recently downloaded a few ROM for redream, they all seem the work and by work I mean retropie recognizes the game but the have a terrible lag(virtually unplayable). I read something about changing the frameskip settings, so hopefully that will help, I’m not currently overclocked. The main issue is that I can’t seem to add more than one game. Each ROM that I’ve downloaded is a compressed zip file, so what I’ve done is extract the GDI file along with the track files and added them to the Dreamcast folder, or is the incorrect way to do this? Apparently some of these ROM have identical track files, according to my laptop anyway. So when I’m copying & pasting these files my laptop says it’s unnecessary to add the track files because I’ve already added them. So the only game that will load is the very first one that was added to the Dreamcast folder, I’m assuming because the other games are missing the necessary track files? hopefully that made sense. Appreciate any help

you can either put the gdi and the track files in a subfolder (named after the game), or rename the clashing trackfiles and renaming them within the corresponding gdi file also (you can edit it in a text editor, like a cue file).
or convert to CHD: https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Dreamcast/#chd-files

That was is it! Used the sub folders. As always, Thank you!!
