@xurde000 What's your monitor / TV resolution ? What emulator are you using for N64 games ?

I'm quite sad because I actually bought it for that,.

what exactly did you buy ?

@mitu Well, the monitor is 2k, but I tried on two other screens and the same thing, the emulator is the default of retropie

        Raspberry pi 4 4GB

Use raspi-config from the RetroPie system in EmulationStation and force a 1080p resolution, then see if the video looks the same in N64. Alternatively, you can use the Runcommand launch menu to choose 1080p as resolution when starting a N64 game - you can give that a try also.

@mitu Can you explain it to me step by step? I don't speak English very well and I use the translator 🙏

@mitu I just saw what happens to me with almost all the emulators that have diagonal pixels, why does that happen?

The doc page for Runcommand is pretty explicit and changing the resolution is simple enough just by using the the menu.

@mitu but is it normal that it happens to me in all emulators?

@xurde000 it's not normal - i.e. doesn't happen for most users - but I suspect the emulators might use a weird or wrong video resolution reported by your monitor. This is why I asked you to change the video resolution to a well known/behaved option.
A verbose log would be useful here, but it might be complicated for a new user to get it and post it in the forums/elsewhere.

@xurde000 Just to make sure - did you try with the 1080p (1920x1080) resolution and you still get the same artifacts ?

To get the verbose log file, you'll need to:

                        • enable SSH and connect with a program like WinSCP to your Pi, from a PC on the same LAN/WLAN.
                        • run the game and enable verbose logging before launch, as explained in the Runcommand doc page, then exit the game.
                        • copy the /dev/shm/runcommand.log file using WinSCP to your PC and then copy/paste the contents of the file to pastebin.com. Provide the link that pastebin.com will give you here in the topic.

@mitu hello, I could not do it, in the settings trying to install an emulator it tells me that my raspberry is not compatible with the application because it is 32-bit, does it have something to do with it? I understand that it can be set to 64 because it supports it.

@xurde000 You cannot do what, exactly ? I haven't asked you to install any emulator.
