On a new build that I'm working with, I get the "Some of your systems do not have a platform set...." error when scraping my TI99 system in emulation station on my R4. I have a platform defined in the es_systems.cfg file (see below) located in /configs/all/emulationstation. I've tried renaming the platform TI99 and texasinstruments and neither changes the result. Am I doing something wrong? I figured since the <platform> line is populated, I DO have a platform set!

i'm not sure if there is a better way of doing this, but I just use Skraper running from Windows to get round the issue

btw Ti-99 should be supported with the internal scraper - my config is slightly different from what you have tho

        <platform>ti99</platform>

@lister-of-smeg I'm running it on a R4, not windows and I did try both combinations. Neither seemed to work.

Which scraping source are you using ? TheGamesDB might not support the TI99.

Skraper runs from Windows but scrapes your Pi over network. It uses ScreenScraper as it's source (it's what I used to scrape Ti-99)
As Mitu suggests, changing your source from TheGamesDB to SCREENSCRAPER in the retropie scraper could be a quick fix for you

Yes, I've tried both sources. Same result.

just tried on a fresh image and got the same results as you
what does work using only a Pi is going to RetroPie Setup and installing Lars Muldjord's Skyscraper

instructions for usage found at https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Scraper/ (about half way down the page)

I still recommend using Skraper from a windows environment over your network - Just enable SSH from raspi-config then follow the wizard on Skraper

It looks like ti99 is not a supported platform for the EmulationStation's scraper. It needs to be added in order for the scraping to work - so for now you can use Skyscraper or another external scraper for the TI99.
