@lostless Yep, the wireless router, PS5, pi, Nintendo Switch and smart TV are all within a couple meters of each other in the living room. Like I said, I didn't experience any issues using the pi upstairs. Thanks for your help here, I never would have considered that to be the issue.

I might just have to go wired when using the pi in the living room as I don't have an option to move the wireless router.

@retroB-0 I think that ScummVM needs an existing installation of the game to run it, not sure if it supports running from an installer iso/disc (where the files needed are not extracted by the installer and possibly packed/compressed).

Can you add more details about your setup, as requested in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first ?
What program did you install for i2c ? Or maybe you just enabled i2c through raspi-config ?

Can you post the complete verbose log on pastebin.com ?

Sorry, we don't support 3rd party images. Use the image from retropie.org.uk/download and see if you still got the issue, then we can help you.

@winterelf 3rd party builds are not supported by this forum.

If this were a build direct from this forum, the above fix would have worked. The file extension list in the es_system.cfg is the only change you need to make to allow a file to be shown in the game list of each system. It will just show without meta data until it is scrapped. This is also how it shows any images or videos. Once ES reads that file extension in that list, it knows what to do.

So who knows why your build is not doing that. You'll have to ask the team that created it.

I've got an 8gb wd usb external plugged into my pi4 (libreelec) and it works fine.

However I also created the partitions and formatted it from the raspi4 using buster and gparted.

@drdave79 both of the optional scrapers (I use Skyscraper) can scrape from local sources:

      @mitu
Thanks for all the help, I finally figured it out. There was a directory config overwriting in the folder with the bios config, when I removed that one my own configs worked and everything is now perfect.

@knoxy The latest RetroPie release - 4.8 - should work without issue. As @BuZz mentioned, if you're using a 3rd party image, then we don't support those. Use the RetroPie image from retropie.org.uk/download.

@mitu I tried all the commands listed and nothing seems to change the look other than removing the -f, adding in the -4 and choosing CEA-4 as the video mode. The --scale2x did what it usually does, gives that rounded look. --scale=n (interger scaling) did nothing, and niether did -NTSC, -PAL

So this is the end result. It looks odd with all the color and no black borders on the sides, but it runs great and has the 4:3 size ratio.

I don't know what else to do with this, seems odd that it does this. I can live with it if there is no other choice.

What version of EmulationStation are you running ? By switch theme you mean @lilbud's Nintendo Switch Theme ?

@joaco glad that it was a easy fix.
At the end of my first reply I rememberes that I had the same thing and doing a update fixed it.

If you are looking for more ports. Take a look here these are new ones not in the main build

@nohitter151 There is also a different way. ES has script callouts for some events: https://retropie.org.uk/docs/EmulationStation/#scripting

Put your scripts in your favorite language in the respective folder. Make them executable (chmod a+x <script>) and you should be ready to go. With the values of %rom_path% %rom_name% (first and second parameter inputted to your script you can locate the respective entry in the gamelist.xml which leads you to the artwork.

PS: Welcome to this forum :)

It looks like you need to find an Atari XEGS logo in .svg format to replace the one in the theme folder you copied (logo.svg).
