      Hello))
      I can't get options menu in Muppen64plus-Glide64.
When i press hotkey button gamepad begin vibrate)
So when press Hotkey + button 1 to get entered to menu nothing appear.
It is my personal bug or stand alone Muppen haven't any gui options?

And in general i have strange default key mapping - start - is trigger button. Others buttons is mapped randomly on game pad too...
Yes, i've fixed it by changing values in notepad in /opt/retropie/configs/n64/mupen64plus.cfg

But, anyway, how to get acces to options menu from the game?

        stand alone
        hotkey

Hotkeys (and quick menu) are a RetroArch feature; they only work in lr- cores.

And why gamepad began vibrate when i press start or hotkey buttons?

well, that's the trade-off. fastest, most compatible = standalone, in-emulator menu = libretro core. i have no cause to edit any settings from default when using n64 so i don't need a menu.

And why gamepad began vibrate when i press start or hotkey buttons?

it vibrates when you turn on the rumblepack, but by default that should be bound to r3 so if it's triggering on other butons it sounds like you've either messed up the m64 config file, or your initial configuration of the controller via ES was wrong.

Ok, i've found and remapped it in mupen64plus.cfg too.
                  Thanks for explanations!

                  • but how remap buttons for each game? For MK\Ki the one, for others - another. Each time open mupen64plus.cfg is not solution... Or in some games bad sound and it need configure in options tweack - so need to open cfg again....

I've understood why this that, but it's very discomfortable.

@iga i am happy with the global default controller layouts for n64, but it's an awkward controller layout compared to modern psx/xbox layout, so there's probably no perfect layout.

you could always use the runcommand to select lr-mupen64plus-gliden64 for games where you want to use a non-default controller layout. it should perform mostly the same.
