      Hello.
      Regarding post https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/28241/solved-bluemsx-msx-turbo-r-doesn-t-work, I have the same problem and shift's solution did not work for me.

      For those who have it working, can you pretty please just tell me which BIOS files to use and where to place them for MSX-Turbo R to work when lr-Bluemsx is set to that machine. Also, what must be capitalized and what must not be capitalized. Currently i have the msx and msx 2 bios files in the generic bios folder, not in any subfolder. Also have 4.7.1 still if that matters.

      Sincerely, Douglas

          @Folly Yes I did. Thank You. Did not work unless i have to set up individual machines. I got the specific roms and put them in the shared folder dir and even the general bios dir and made sure i matched the case type. It did not work in any way. Could be i got the wrong bios roms or the directions are no longer the same or they don't apply to 4.71.

            I just tried and had the same problem.
            All roms seem to be there already only the issue is that some kanji roms have the extension in lower case.
            You can find the good filenames in :
            /home/pi/RetroPie/BIOS/Machines/MSXturboR/config.ini
            Just copy/duplicate in Machines/Shared Roms :
            KANJI.rom to KANJI.ROM
            MSXKANJI.rom to MSXKANJI.ROM
            That should solve it.

              @mitu

              Just to let you know.

              There seems to be an issue regarding the filenames mentioned in :
              ~/RetroPie/BIOS/Machines/MSXturboR/config.ini
              and the actual files in :
              ~/RetroPie/BIOS/Shared Roms

              Looking at the MSX/docs the turbo-r bioses for MSXturboR don't match.

                @Folly Thanks. I really really appreciate your help. You're a good guy. I'm going to try that now. Sometimes I think folks are afraid to post these questions because they follow the help directions and things still don't work. They must feel that they are stupid. But I'm 59 now and had a scare in 2020 and now I don't care if people think me of a pest. I have a Masters degree and I'm not stupid. However, sometimes you have to speak up.

                  @Folly Well bad news is that what used to happen to the Msx- turbo R now happens with the MSX 2+ machine. I guess they cannot share those bios files. MSX 2+ seems to like those 2 in .rom small case and MSX- turbo R likes them in .ROM large case. :(

                    @duglor

                    You should duplicate.
                    Then you will have both :
                    KANJI.rom and KANJI.ROM
                    MSXKANJI.rom and MSXKANJI.ROM

                    Or you can edit the ~/RetroPie/BIOS/Machines/MSXturboR/config.ini
                    to take the lower case extensions.

                    Then both machines should work.

                        @Folly I re-edited the config.ini.

                        Solved problem!

                          @duglor

                          I looked at the source of lr-bluemsx and the problem is already fixed :
                          https://github.com/libretro/blueMSX-libretro/commit/a0a63d4f38069872195b8afec442848fdf04f12f

                          Not sure, right now, if the binary still has this problem but the problem should automatically be fixed when a new binary is shared for the install.

                          Only the docs would need an update.
