@abj I can try, but I don't think this will change anything, it affects kodi too, even if it is started first.

Not much we can do on the RetroPie side here - you may try opening a topic in the RPI forums (here) and provide your system specs and describing the issue. You can get the kernel logs by running dmesg and post its ouput on pastebin.com.

For info: I did post about this on the pi forums but did not receive any response. https://forums.raspberrypi.com/viewtopic.php?t=367591

Maybe is better this issue to reported in the github page here : https://github.com/raspberrypi/linux/issues

I have confirm this issue with Bullseye 32 bit with RPi3 and 4, but it doesn't happen with Bookworm 64 bit with RPi5. I will try to build 64 bit for RPi3 to check.

                  repeatedly

I am having the same issue on a fresh bookworm 64bit installation on a Raspberry Pi 3.

I am wondering if anyone has found a solution?

                  Thank you in advance!

Lot's of misinformation given on this thread.

All you need to do is find the "adjust screen for overscan" setting in the config settings, toggle it and then restart the Pi.

This doesn't work on the OS the poster is using (Bookworm 64bit).

Yeap still an issue on 64bit OSes.

I am currently running a custom kernel that hides the problem. From here: https://github.com/raspberrypi/linux/pull/6239

So far, I haven't seen this issue with the Pi 5 and the beta version of RetroPie 64-bit, it seems to be affecting previous Pi models.
I have also confirmed that this unofficial solution is working. Maybe it is the way to go for a new release of RetroPie that doesn't use Buster.
I hope we have an official fix, as I saw better performance with Pi OS Lite Bullseye/Bookworm."

                            Afaik and according to this

                            https://github.com/raspberrypi/linux/issues/5780

It doesn't affect all pi models. The pi 3 which I have is affected unfortunately 🙂
